Is Superman Invincible?
He takes over the world while nobody is paying attention, so he had to be pretty invincible to pull that off. Once the gameplay gets going, though, literally everyone is taking Kryptonian nanite pills to be at the same level as Supes. The end result is that Superman is equally vulnerable to Wonder Woman and Catwoman.
Is Superman Homicidal?
Evil Superman has a kill count! Lois Lane is murdered by accident, and this causes the vaporization of Metropolis. That one we can blame on the Joker, though. But then Superman deliberately kills Joker and Green Arrow (mostly) offscreen. And then he executes Shazam for funsies while everyone is watching! At least Good Universe Superman doesn’t appear to kill anyone, including his malevolent doppelganger. The people in those cars Black Adam was tossing around are probably fine.
Is it any fun?
If you enjoy Mortal Kombat fighting games and/or stories where the good guys have to fight evil versions of themselves, you will have a good time. If not, this is a rote tale of good versus evil with the interdimensional travel serving as a backdrop for canon-justified mirror matches. It has been said before that this is brilliant for a fighting game, as evil duplicates effectively double the story roster, but if it is not your jam… Well, it’s not hard to see how this whole three-hour adventure is going to end from practically the outset.
Charm Point
Look at that roster. Killer Frost, Raven, and Ares are just happy someone remembered they existed.

Random Notes:
- BEAT, fanboymaster, and myself are all super happy to be seeing Injustice.
- Harley Quinn prompts us to discuss Mad Love, arguably the character’s most important story. It was published as a comic issue on December 14, 1993, and became part of The New Batman Adventures animated series on January 16, 1999. So the book came first by a pretty large margin. Also, go ahead and read Harleen by Stjepan Šejić, whose name I cannot properly pronounce on the stream.
- Caliscrub joins as Green Lantern rescues Slade (for some reason).
- I am left alone just as Aquaman reaches the library. Caithness then joins to relative silence as Arthur Curry gets all the backstory you could ever need.
Fighting games are good! SonicFox is good! Injustice is… something.- Eternals drove Kevin Feige insane. It should have been Black Widow!
- “Hawkman is a sinking pit.”
- Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson starring in Black Adam is a movie where Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson fights Satan.
- Cassandralyn joins as we note that Cyborg has way too many exposed tubes.
- We are all happy to recount our joyous memories of Nicolas Cage movies starring Nicolas Cage. This is something of a theme for the night.
- Even an army of giant water fleas cannot improve this story. Just like in Defenders!
- “Now I’m resentful of your incompetence.”
- This was the night that eventually led to my experience with Multiversus. Listen to the naiveté of a man that has not yet played that shopping mall of a game.
- BEAT fights Caliscrub in Guilty Gear while Lex Luthor fights Joker on the stream that has actually been preserved for the ages. This is what happens when you don’t record things, BEAT!
- Even Worse Streams does not condone The Negative Still Force or smoking oregano.

I am mad at myself for not noting on stream that Cassie Cage is a Mortal Kombat kharacter completely aware of the letter C.- Having completed Story Mode, we move on to playing a few rounds of regular versus matches where we can see ridiculous costumes and DLC characters that do not appear in the proper story.
- And with Scorpion beating Aquaman, injustice be done.
In the next, spellbinding Superman issue: Name all the DC characters. Seriously. Name them.
